I take a person‑centered and collaborative approach to therapy, offering a supportive space where clients can explore their stories with honesty and without judgment. My goal is to work alongside you to uncover practical, meaningful solutions that support greater mental well‑being, relational health, and resilience.

My path into counselling is shaped by more than 25 years of experience in various leadership roles supporting youth, young adults, individuals and families. I have also served as an airport and offshore industry chaplain, providing frontline emotional support by working to promote psychological health and safety in the workplace and serving as a mental health first aid responder. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and guide them through challenging transitions.

My clinical training includes a focus on grief and bereavement, and I offer individual, couple, family, and group therapy. I approach each client with curiosity, compassion, and respect, drawing on both my lived experience and the supervision of a highly qualified and well‑respected clinical supervisor to ensure that the care I provide is grounded, ethical, and effective.

Whether you are navigating loss, relationship challenges or desiring greater mental well-being and personal growth, I am committed to walking with you at your pace as we work toward clarity, healing, and meaningful change.

Taking a person-centred approach, I will provide a welcoming, safe, and empowering space. I will help you feel comfortable exploring your experiences, feelings, and struggles in a non-judgmental space. My background in sports, along with psychology, provides a unique perspective to address challenges.

In addition to person-centred counselling, I draw on multiple evidence-based theories. Theories that I incorporate into my practice are Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University and am completing my clinical practicum. I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe, supported, heard, and understood.

My counselling approach is grounded in person-centred therapy and integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and solution-focused approaches. I believe that every individual is the expert in their own life, and I value working collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change.

I recognize that faith can be an important source of strength, hope, and meaning for many individuals. For clients who wish to incorporate their faith into counselling, Christian counselling can be thoughtfully integrated into the therapeutic process in a way that respects their individual beliefs, values, and goals.

I have a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I am also passionate about promoting self-compassion and helping clients develop practical coping strategies that support long-term emotional well-being.

As an emerging counsellor, I am committed to lifelong learning and continually expanding my knowledge through research, professional development, and clinical supervision. I strive to provide compassionate, ethical, and evidence-informed care while meeting each client where they are in their individual journey.
